Twinnedit

You are here: Home1 / Twinnedit

In response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy and proposed legislation as a result of Dame Judith Hackitt’s “Building a Safer Future” report, Deeo developed “Twinnedit”.  A scalable, affordable, secure – process and web based Digital Twin platform, to deliver the “Golden Thread of information” for the owners and operators of HRRB’s (High Rise and High Risk Buildings).

Twinnedit is a turn-key “one stop” service and solution for Housing Associations and Local Authorities to create a Digital Twin of their physical properties. This then enables them to deliver the Golden Thread of information and aid them in creating the Building Safety Case that will be needed for every in-scope building in England.

To do this we:

Digitally Capture

We use the latest drone and laser scan technology tools to digitally scan the building to gain accurate data of its condition today. Also, whilst doing this we capture building condition survey videos, Aerial Videos, VR Experiences and much, much more.

Create

Our team of Architectural Technicians take the scan data and create accurate “as is today” BIM (Building Information Models), 2D exterior elevations and interior plans, animations and safety instructions and other Building Safety documentation.

Collate

Working with the building’s owner/operator, we assist them in collating all the information relevant to their building, ready to bring it all together with the digital assets we have created.

Host

We then host all this information from one secure web based platform we call Twinnedit!

From here, not only can the building’s owner/operator, the regulator and the Fire Service access all of the data within Twinnedit, but the buildings residents – from their own portal called “My Home” – can access select information they need to assure them their building is safe.

One truly accurate “single source of truth” for all that need to be assured.

Maintain

All data is stored and hosted from a highly secure datacentre in London. As the building evolves the data stored within Twinnedit will too. We empower the building’s owner/operator access for select responsible people to update the buildings dataset through its life.

Building Safety Case

Twinnedit allows building owners to present an “as is today” picture of their in scope buildings, allowing for stakeholders to quickly access and review the information that should be present about their buildings, supporting their building safety cases.

Deeo has the enviable position to have been asked to present the Twinnedit solution to the Golden Thread Team, along with the JRG (Joint Regulatory Group) and MPs at the Home Office. This was held in February 2020 and since then all have supported the development of Twinnedit and guided us in the elements they wish to see as a defacto solution to the industry.

We continue to work with Fire and Rescue services across the country to add additional functionality/datasets that they feel would bring huge value to them in incidents, building evaluation and training as well as Resident Groups to ensure the information in the “My Home” section delivers what they need too!
