Wilko is a family owned retailer and our heritage is in decorating/DIY products. The business was started by JK Wilkinson over 85 years ago, with the first hardware store opening in 1930.  Wilko now have over 400 stores nationwide, stocking 1000’s of products both in store and online – helping hard working families be the best they can be.

Central to this is our Wilko own-brand paint range, which was first introduced into our stores in 1973, and the quality is demonstrated by our online reviews and recently in television media.

We are confident that our offering and delivery of our decorating allowance scheme is relevant to housing providers and we can provide a:

Tenants can choose their Decorating/DIY products from any of our Wilko stores, along with a full and extended range on-line at, which can be ordered in store at our order points and delivered to store or home.

The Wilko blog is available to help advise customers on the effective use of products, including a dedicated decorating area.

Supporting Communities

Charity and supporting great work within our communities, has and always will be at the heart of everything we do here at Wilko. We believe in doing everything we can to help free up hard working families to be the best they can be. The fantastic support of our customers and team members means we are able to consistently support charities close to our hearts. In 2016 we managed to raise over £1.3m for our regional charity partners and supported our local communities through our Helping Hands scheme.
