Ensuring Product Availability – Spares Distribution Hub (SDH)
Our supply chain is vast, with the largest stock holding within the sector with 20,000 product lines stocked in our dedicated Spares Distribution Hub (SDH). These products can be ordered in branch during standard opening hours, through our parts identification system – Spare Finder 24 hours a day or through our SDH call centre from 7.30am-8pm, Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm Saturday and 9am-1pm Sunday. Orders will be delivered by 7.30am (north of Edinburgh by 10.30am) the following day, (Tuesday to Saturday to a nominated Dropbox; Monday by 10.30 to a nominated location). This means you will have the support of the only dedicated distribution centre of its kind in the UK with a call centre offering seven day support and a 6 day spares delivery service. Further product support is provided through our Primary Distribution Hub (PDH). This 34 acre Builders Merchant Federation (BMF) Regional Center of Excellence site operates 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday. This hub stocks over 12,000 plumbing and heating product lines available on either next day or every other day delivery service to our national network of 370 branches.
