Social Value

We have worked closely with HACT (Housing Associations Charitable Trust) on how SV can help within the procurement process and we were a key part of a working group, to produce the HACT guide for social value in procurement toolkit.

Last year AkzoNobel launched a number of social value initiatives to engage with the communities of social landlords, including community re-paint projects and community training days, along with shared initiatives with your chosen contractors.

Understanding that a key focus for social landlords is training and work opportunities

A key area we have developed is the AkzoNobel ‘Step into Work Courses’ with key industry leading training partner. These courses have been designed to work with you and your residents to give them the key skills required for future employment opportunities, with the sole aim to try and get people back into work and courses are delivered in your local community.
