We want to support local economies by creating opportunities for a blended supply chain, including SMEs, voluntary organisations, social enterprises and emerging, innovative high-tech suppliers.

“Last year Inprova procured £245 million worth of goods and services across approximately 3,000 managed contracts. We’re keen to use this supply chain influence to benefit local communities and encourage innovation and environmental outcomes. Changing onboarding documentation to capture exact size and sector of all suppliers
Baselining spend with different types of suppliers
Identifying where we want to increase spend in 2022
Setting up monitoring mechanisms to see, every month, where we are on spend targets

Identifying opportunities for new suppliers:

Exploring our Dynamic Purchasing Systems to see where new suppliers might fit
Inviting organisations to webinars to introduce Inprova and highlight opportunities

Measuring environmental impact of our procurement activity:

Conducting environmental impact assessment on 100% of framework and DPS tender exercises
Identifying how much a framework/ DPS can influence environmental outcomes
Ensure suppliers are accredited or working towards environmental standard, ISO 14001
Growing environmental score weighting for future sourcing exercises
