GEM Partnership

GEM Partnership Ltd is a privately owned recruitment agency based in the North East of England and currently operates from three regional branches – Newcastle upon Tyne, Peterlee and Newton Aycliffe. We currently employ 30 people across a range of specialist functions and deliver services through three distinct service platforms:

GEM Premium People Recruitment

Developed to offer volume focused solutions to clients within the blue collar marketplace. The three distinct divisions which operate within the GEM Premium People Platform – Trades & Labour, Industrial Services and Logistics – all share a common contractual approach to doing business, with service level agreement methodologies a common theme and recruitment solutions designed around economies of scale. Many of our business relationships are on a sole agency basis and have a client relationship manager overseeing pre-agreed levels of service and focused on driving continuous improvement with clients through a partnership working philosophy.

GEM Professional Services Recruitment

The professional services platform has been developed to offer a broad portfolio of specialist services to niche markets, sectors and functional disciplines. We have developed a team with a detailed knowledge and understanding of their particular specialism gained through either direct experience gained within the industry or a strong track record of delivering bespoke recruitment solutions. Services offered by this team are tailored to the needs of that particular sector or area of expertise and are truly consultative, leaning more towards individual assignments which are likely to be unique – but focus primarily around Commercial, Engineering & Manufacturing, IT and Business Support Functions such as HR, Procurement and Finance.

GEM Talent Search

At GEM Talent Search we do not differentiate between executive, operational or specialist talent. Our search model has been designed around the concept of talent identification and acquisition, whatever the business, functional area of expertise or rung on the leadership ladder. We apply the same principles to every assignment; complete focus on identifying the highest potential talent available in the context of short term business objectives, whilst mindful of the longer term strategic fit and capability of positively shaping the direction of the business over time. We pride ourselves on adaptability, flexibility and reach.

The markets we operate in are varied but have a common dimension, a recognised industry appreciation of the value that talent can bring to an organisation. East Durham Homes

East Durham Homes (EDH) is a housing association that supports the local community with housing solutions throughout the East Durham corridor. Due to the significant structural changes in this sector across the Durham region, EDH has remained very reliant on agency support as recruitment is still going through its restructure.

GEM Partnership are EDH’s exclusive recruiting partner for their temporary requirements; this agreement covers a variety of disciplines – some of the more skilled clerical and managerial roles require very specific sourcing and utilising the full range of our network as they can be very difficult to fill through more traditional means.

GEM Partnership have also worked with a number of organisations within a variety of industries including law, education, engineering, manufacturing, energy and retail.
